Shallow Regrets: The Fisher & the Frod

Frod like to fish too. Blup. You fish with Frod? Blupp. Frod think Frod fish better than you. Blup-blup. Defeat Frod in a fishing competition in this 6-card solo expansion. Scripted decision-making and a small selection of strategies for Frod to follow keeps Frod's turns moving quickly while still capturing the unpredictability and interaction of the core game. With multiple difficulty levels, even the most skilled angler should find a challenge in Frod! Set the game up as normal, shuffling the Frod deck separately. Player turns proceed as normal. Both the human player and Frod use a new layout, placing their exhausted fish in a column and their available fish in a row next to it, to help clarify Frod's abilities and fishing attempts. On Frod's turn, he will always use one ability from the previous turn's strategy card, if possible. Next, reveal a new strategy card to guide Frod's fishing decisions. Then he fishes, catching the single largest fish he can using his available strength. Lastly, he'll move a fish from one shoal to another. Game end and scoring follow the core game rules, with the exception that Frod never takes a penalty for Foul fish. Outscore Frod to win the competition!
