When you register for an account on meeple.in, we collect basic information necessary to provide our services. This includes:

• Your name and email address.
• Your city and general location preferences to help tailor event discovery.
• Your chosen avatar and profile details.

2. Public Profiles & Visibility

By default, user profiles may display your name, avatar, city, and any board games you choose to add to your Meepledex library to foster community connection. However, you have the option to make your personal profile private within your account settings at any time.

Please note that Business accounts claiming Directory listings (e.g., Stores, Cafés, Organisers) are intended for public discovery and by nature their associated business profiles will remain public.

3. BoardGameGeek Integration

If you choose to link your BoardGameGeek (BGG) username, we use the public BGG API to fetch and synchronize your board game collection directly into your meeple.in profile. We do not collect, ask for, or store your BoardGameGeek password or any private BGG account details.

4. Cookies & Analytics

We use strict session cookies solely to maintain your logged-in state and ensure the security of your account.

For website performance insights, we use Umami Analytics. Umami is an open-source, privacy-focused analytics framework that does not use invasive cookies, does not collect any personally identifiable information, does not track you across other websites, and fully anonymizes all visitor data.
